When Red Dead Redemption 2 was launched almost a year ago, fans were on the edges of their seats wondering about everything new the game had to offer this time around. It wasn’t easy to beat the ludicrous amount of features in the first part, but Rockstar Games did it. First, the massive map blew players’ minds, but the number of things to explore and do on this map was truly unprecedented. After you’ve successfully beaten the game, you can arm yourself with new weapons, get a new horse, show kindness to strangers, get a haircut, steal a stagecoach, and even play a Blackjack. That’s what we’re to talk about today — RDR2 Blackjack.
Where can you play RDR2 Blackjack?
You can play RDR2 Online Blackjack for any reason: you may be in it for the love of the game or you might simply want to tick off a challenge. But playing RDR2 Blackjack isn’t the real kicker, it’s finding a table to play it. And having a massive map does little to help.
So, here are the four locations where you can find a game of RDR2 Blackjack:
Blackwater – The Blackjack table in Blackwater is in the saloon in the centre of town.
Van Horn Trading Post – Again, in the saloon in the centre of town.
Rhodes – In Rhodes, you’ll find a Blackjack table in a saloon at the south end of town. Just head in, walk up the stairs, and you’ll see three gentlemen ready for a game.
Camp – If you’re too lazy to travel to other locations across the massive map to play RDR2 Blackjack, you can just wait for minigames to show up in your camp. Be on a lookout for those.
How to play RDR2 Blackjack?
When you approach a table, you’ll see that one spot available for you and the remaining players are already playing. A dealer will be sitting behind a fancy Blackjack table with three players facing him. Do be aware that the tables in saloons won’t always have a spot available. If all the spots are occupied, you’ll need to wait before one of the spot frees up. If you can’t wait, just spend the night at the nearest hotel and come back again. Usually, passing time frees up a slot.
When you near a table, you get a prompt to “Play Blackjack”. Once having sat down, you can start playing after the current round ends and the dealer deals you your cards. The rules are similar to a regular game of Blackjack, and there are no side bets. To take an action, you just have to select options like “Hit”, “Stand”, “Split”, etc. You can see your cards in front of you on the table and the dealer’s cards are shown at the top right of the screen. You can select an option to get a bird’s eye view of the entire table.
When you select one of the hands, your character will perform one of the classic hand movements instead of yelling out or not doing anything. Your character will also react to winning or losing a round, either by punching the table in anger or making a celebratory hand movement.
How to win at RDR2 Blackjack?
Just like real life Blackjack, there’s no strategy to guarantee a win in RDR2 Blackjack. Well, actually there is. If you lose, just shoot the players and collect their money. You can do this even if you win. It’s a win-win situation.
